I specialise in working with people who identify as LGBTQ+ and those who may be struggling with their gender or sexuality.

This does not mean I do not work with cisgender/heterosexual people, everyone is welcome.

I chose to specialise in this area as it is close to my heart; during my training there was little to no mention of the specific discrimination and struggles that LGBTQ+ people face, and so already having knowledge and lived experience I took it upon myself to educate my peers on this as much as I could. I introduced them to things like the language surrounding this community such as, nonbinary, the reclaimed queer, demisexual, internalised transphobia, I introduced pronouns and showed them examples of how to be affirming with understanding.
