About Me
I trained as an integrative counsellor covering Humanistic, Psychodynamic, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Jungian Therapy. I strongly believe in the power of creativity and the ability it has to unlock things in the mind. I therefore use it in both my personal life and my counselling work.
For me the relationship is one of the most important things in counselling; opening up to someone takes courage and trust. I struggled to find the right counsellor for me initially so I understand how difficult it can be. I am neurodivergent and queer, these parts of me play a big part in my work, with things like being able to follow along complicated and often topic switching conversations, which has made my neurodivergent clients feel more understood and safer with me. I also have a deeper understanding of the specific challenges and discrimination queer and neurodivergent people face through lived experience and training.
